Ceremonial Shoulder Piece with Beaded Chains - "Aguacatán", white/rainbow

The Ceremonial Aguacatán shoulder piece collection is one of our signature designs. It’s a lightweight piece of wearable art that comes in many colors.

Each shoulder piece has a hand-woven piece of traditional textile which is used in many Mayan ceremonies and on special occasions for the Mayan people. The cotton textile is hand-embroidered with geometric designs. This specific type of textile is only made in the town of Aguacatán, Quetzaltenango in Guatemala.

The textile has little spikes of ceramic beads, contributing to a unique look and feel. From the textile and down, you find our beautiful lines of ceramic beads in color variations and structures that will turn heads in any surroundings.

Size: The shoulder piece is one-size. They are easily adjusted by changing the position on the shoulder. Each piece can vary in terms of the amount of ceramic and size of textile pieces used.

All our Ceremonial Aguacatán shoulder pieces are handmade from the bottom up in Guatemala by Mayan artisans.
