Handmade Embroidered Bird Earrings from Guatemala 🦜

Inspired by the extraordinary birdlife of Guatemala, these handcrafted earrings feature beautifully embroidered birds made by an artisan community in Santiago Atitlán, where traditional embroidery techniques have been passed down through generations.

Our collection celebrates many of Guatemala's iconic birds, including quetzals, hummingbirds (colibrís), parrots, macaws (guacamayas), toucans, and other native species. Each embroidered bird is individually handmade, making every pair unique.

These earrings are framed with a border contrasted with our signature handmade clay beads, creating a colourful contrast that highlights the intricate embroidery.

Every clay bead is handcrafted in our family workshop in Antigua, Guatemala. The natural Guatemalan clay is shaped by hand, air-dried for at least seven days, kiln-fired for over 24 hours, and individually hand-dyed before being carefully stitched around each embroidered panel.

The result is a lightweight pair of artisan earrings that beautifully combines traditional Mayan embroidery with contemporary handcrafted jewelry design.
