A wearable work of art, our Imperial vest brings together vintage textile from Patzún, Guatemala, seven jade stones and at least 5,500 handmade ceramic beads.

Rows of carefully colour-matched beads drape across the front, creating a flowing silhouette that frames the textile beautifully. Despite its intricate beadwork, this cropped vest feels surprisingly lightweight, with soft, comfortable edges.

Handmade by Mayan artisans in Guatemala, it brings traditional textile artistry into a striking, contemporary design. As one customer described it:

Size & fit: Small/Medium. The draped bead strands allow some flexibility around the bust, although the textile itself has a fixed fit. Please see the model photo for a visual reference.

How to style it: Layer it over a plain top or dress to let the colours, jade and cascading beadwork take centre stage.

Putting it on & taking it off: Slipping into the vest is easy: raise both arms and gently slide it down over your head. Taking it off requires a little technique. Lift both arms above your head, bend forward and gently ease the vest up and over your head, guiding it by the textile rather than pulling on the bead strands. Take your time the first few times. Once you get the movement, it becomes easy.

We recommend not showering or swimming with your new jewelry, however a bit of splashing won't hurt. When not using the jewelry, hang it or lay it out flat. The jewelry can handle being dropped but try not to squash them between two hard surfaces.
