Product story & details

Made for a Queen

Named after the Maya queen Yohl Ik’nal, this ceremonial cape is made for someone strong. A beautifully preserved vintage floral huipil brings together rich pinks, oranges and greens, framed by black edging and layers of beaded fringe.

Eleven jade stones framed in silver give the piece its striking presence, while two jade buttons fasten it at the front.

Handmade Details

Our handmade ceramic beads match the colours of the textile, flowing in layers across the shoulders and around the hem. Each strand is carefully assembled by experienced artisans, balancing colour, texture and movement.

Flowers with a History

The vintage huipil is in impeccable condition, its densely patterned flowers forming the heart of the design. Giving this textile a new form keeps its beauty and the work of its makers in use.

For Your Special Moments

Wear it for a special ceremony, a meaningful event, or simply to share the incredible artistry of the Mayan world. Its broad shoulders, floral colours and jade details make a powerful statement over a simple dress or top.

A Fit for Every Body

The one-size design drapes across the shoulders and fits all body types, with two jade buttons closing the front.
